The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of the law.

Daniel had his 4th birthday while we were in Tennessee so to celebrate we went to A Day Out with Thomas. Daniel and Caleb both love Thomas the Tank Engine, but Patrick and I agree that the actual day with Thomas was very under-whelming.
After waiting in line for almost twenty minutes and then realizing we would have to pay an additional $20 to get the picture with Thomas, we hopped out of line and got the poor man's shot.

Then there was the thirty minute train ride in which we went one direction at 2 miles per hour through Nashville's 'scenic' factory district. And back the other way at 1 mile per hour. Oh, and the kid next to us threw a fit until her folks finally pulled out their snacks despite the fact signs were posted saying "no food allowed" and the conductors told us several times we were not to eat on the train. The redeeming factor was that the train was air conditioned because it was a blistering, humid day in Tennessee!

Again, under-whelming, expensive... probably an event Eli and any other children we have will miss out on, but the boys sure looked cute in their train conductor hats!
When we got to Grandmama and Grandaddy's house in August to celebrate Grandaddy's 80th birthday, Grandmama informed me that she had gone to a second-hand store to by a "couple" toys for the boys. Ha!! A couple turned into several. The boys' favorites we certainly the Big Wheel and "big boy" tricycle.

Caleb is just a little bad to the bone...
Just some silly boys sitting on the back steps at Grandmama and Grandaddy's house.

How do the Wilsons celebrate an event? We make it all about the Tennessee Volunteers!

This August we loaded up the Pilot and drove (21 hours!) to Nashville to celebrate Patrick's Dad's 80th birthday. We had a great dinner at an Italian steak house and then headed back to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson's house for cake and ice cream.

Yes, I am far behind on my blogging once again. Maybe I'm not feeling the pressure to blog stories and post pictures of the boys since we just saw "Grandmama" and "Grandaddy" in Tennessee just three weeks ago. And now I am typing this while I sit on the couch at "Mama" and "Papa"'s house in Idaho. So, the grandparents have all gotten a taste of the real thing this Summer. Blogs and photos of all visits forthcoming...

We went to Redstone Park recently and fed the ducks. I don't think the boys have ever done that before. Caleb did not quite get to concept would throw one chunk of bread for ducks... one chunk of bread would go into his mouth...

Just letting you know that I'm still here. We had two great weeks with Patrick's parents in Tennessee at the end of August, but it was hard to post from there. And now that I am home, I'm having some difficulty getting pictures off the camera. So... stay tuned. Updates pending...
