The New Camera

My excuse for the past two months for not keeping the blog updated has been that our camera is broken and who wants to look at a blog with just words, right? Well, a few weeks ago Patrick and I were packing to go on vacation. While I was putting things in a suitcase, Patrick was in the room on the phone with a client. He got off the phone and with a huge grin on his face said, "Client 'so-and-so' just paid 'x-amount'!" Sadly, my response was not, "Wow, praise God. Let's thank Him for his blessings and provision for us." Instead, it was, "Wow, can I go get a new camera before we leave?!" sad... nonetheless, I ran off to Walmart to purchase the latest Canon Powershot (gee, it's a small camera!) and the most exciting part was that because our car has a power outlet in the console, it would be fully charged by the time we reached our vacation destination! So, now no more excuses for not updating the blog! And here is an exciting preview of blog posts to follow with a look at the first picture taken with the new Powershot SD1100:

The honorary first photo was taken after we picked my mom, "Mamaw" up at the airport. She came on vacation to be our nanny. It was the best set-up ever, but more on that later...

I have to say though, the bad thing about this new camera is that I also got an SD card with it that holds almost 1900 photos. It used to be that I never transferred pictures from the camera to my computer until the memory card was full. If I wait until I fill the card to transfer pictures now, you all won't be seeing anything until at least our 6th or 7th child is born!
